Casa Colina is just half an hour's drive from the coast. There are some great beaches on the eastern Costa Del Sol, and most tend to be much quieter than those west of Malaga.

Torre Del Mar (30 mins)

A lively Spanish seaside town, with a long, pretty promenade running along the length of the beach. There is an endless choice of cafes, bars and restaurants offering every kind of international cuisine. Reknowned for its many seafront fish restaurants. Beach facilities are good, with ample parking, showers and toilets.

Nerja (45 mins)

A popular tourist resort with an attractive old town centre, and its famous Balcon De Europa viewing point. There are a number of good beaches with full facilities, and plenty of good places to eat. The seafront fish restaurants are well known for their giant paellas which are cooked on the beach.

El Morche (40 mins)

A small resort with a lovely wide, sandy beach on the way to Nerja. Plenty of sunbeds for hire, showers and toilets. Good parking, and a few beachfront cafes and restaurants.

Rincon De La Victoria (40 mins)

An upmarket Spanish seaside resort, where the wealthy Malagese tend to own holiday homes. A good long sandy beach with good facilities and some amusements for children. The long promenade is a great place to spend an evening, sitting in one of the numerous bars and restaurants along the seafront.

Playa De Maro (45 mins)

Picturesque and wedged between cliffs, Maro was recently voted the 2nd best beach in Spain. Situated just to the east of Nerja, the beach is relatively quiet, but has all the amenities you will need: sunbeds, showers, toilets and a restaurant.

Benajarafe (35 mins)

If you prefer your beach unspoilt and natural, this is just one of many along the coastline west of Torre del Mar.

Cordoba (70 mins)

Once the largest city in Europe, Cordoba is a fascinating place to visit. Despite being Spain's 10th largest city, Cordoba retains the feel of a small provincial town built up around a historic centre.

The city boasts some great historic attractions, including the famous Mezquita - a massive medieval Islamic palace, which is a rare fusion of Christian and Muslim architecture. The Alcazar De Los Reyes Cristianos is also well worth a visit - an impressive castle, featuring huge, beautiful gardens, a moorish bathhouse and some very well-preserved Roman mosaics.
